On March 12, 2015, the first meeting of the 2014 Personal Data Protection and Information Security Promotion Committee passed the following resolutions:
- Our university will comply with the Personal Data Protection Act (hereinafter referred to as the PDPA) and other relevant legal regulations, adopting appropriate personal data protection and information security measures.
- The university’s operations will respect the rights of individuals and, in good faith, collect, process, or use personal data within a specific purpose in a reasonable, legal, and secure manner. Should data be used outside the specified purpose, individuals will be informed and their written consent obtained.
- The university will make every effort to ensure the accuracy and currency of the personal data provided by individuals, and to prevent personal data from being stolen, leaked, altered, or otherwise compromised. Simultaneously, the university will enhance the security of relevant equipment and adopt necessary protective measures to safeguard the collected, processed, and utilized personal data.
- The university will respect the rights of individuals to exercise their rights over their personal data, including the right to inquire or request access, request a copy, request supplement or correction, request the cessation of collection, processing, or use, and request deletion. The university will promptly respond in accordance with the provisions of the PDPA.
- The university will commit to raising awareness of personal data protection and enhancing information security management measures. Periodic training and awareness programs on personal data protection and information security will be conducted.
- The university has established operational standards related to personal data protection and information security management. The university will continue to develop and implement personal data protection management tasks to ensure policy implementation.
- When the university commissions the collection, processing, and use of personal data, it will properly supervise the entrusted party by clearly stipulating the responsibilities for data protection and confidentiality in the contract, ensuring compliance by the entrusted party with regular audits.
